ÖRUGG Engineering was in charge of fire safety engineering and response planning for the filming of the fourth season of True Detective: Night Country, starring Jodie Foster and Kali Reis. In the series, Iceland plays the role of Alaska, but as the long winter night falls on the small town of Ennis, the eight men who run the Tsalal research station disappear.

HBO makes very high demands on their partners in content production, choosing only seasoned experts in their field. ÖRUGG‘s tasks have been exceptionally diverse and span fire technical analyses of film sets, evacuation and emergency response plans, assessment of shooting locations and more.

Night Country is yet another one of ÖRUGG‘s successful projects in the film industry, which has become very important in Iceland.
